Kónj is an architectural and research studio dedicated to the cultural and architectural heritage of Balochistan. We explore the region’s sacred spaces, vernacular homes, and craftsmanship, tracing the wisdom and skills passed down through generations. Balochistan holds a heritage that is vast yet often unseen. Kónj works to document and share it, not only as an archive of the past, but as a living bridge between the past and the present. Our practice moves between research and design, advocacy and dialogue, building an understanding that honours the people, places, and histories that shaped this land.
Founder’s Note
Kónj began as a thought, a longing, and slowly became a path I could no longer ignore. My journey as an architect and heritage researcher has always led me back to the people and places of my homeland – to understand how they lived, what they built, and the traditions they carried forward.
Through Kónj, I hope to create a space for remembering, for listening, and for preserving what is at risk of being forgotten. This is not my journey alone; it belongs to all who care about where we come from. If you wish to walk this path with me – to document, revive, and celebrate our heritage – you are welcome here.
